- Reports from third Parties- Your Child’s other Nursery setting, School setting or Other Professionals involved in your child’s care and development e.g. Speech and language therapy, Health Visitor and Children’s Social Care.
- Photographs and Observations of children’s learning
- The processing of claims for children’s government funding
- Job application forms
- Contracts of employment and safer recruitment checks
- Staff qualifications and Training records
The Data we Collect

Where we store it
Personal Data is held securely in the following ways:
- Paper work containing personal data are stored in a locked filing cabinet- only accessible to nursery staff.
- Emergency contact name sand numbers are also stored in our register so they can be accessed quickly.
- Photographs and observations of children’s learning are stored on our camera in the nursery which only staff can access and children’s observations and learning are stored in the children’s folders and parent link books in their bags.
- By law we must keep paper work for a minimum of 3 years. Once the 3 years is up your paper work is shredded.
Sharing your data
Third Parties:
We do not sell data onto other parties. We do not give access to third parties without prior written consent from you. The only exception to this would be if we considered that there would be a safeguarding risk to your child if we were not to do so. In this situation we have a duty of care to put children’s safety first. When parents provide data which will be shared with Hampshire County Council e.g. for funding claims, parents can ask to see a copy of Hampshire County Councils Privacy Notice.
Complaints
If you would like to see copies of the data we collect on you or if you have a concern relating to data collection, data handling or believe there has been a data breech at Busy Bee Nursery School please contact Sophie Grey who is the person responsible for data and Nursery manager.
